Andrew recently returned from Sengerema in North West Tanzania as part of a team of 7 dentists and 3 dental nurses training rural clinical officers in a remote part of rural Tanzania to provide emergency dentistry to areas of the country where there has been no access to safe dental treatment before. A challenging humbling and truly fulfilling experience. Quote from one of the nurses ( an ex army nurse) ‘two weeks in Tanzania is far more challenging than a six month tour of Iraq’ !!

  4. Keeping up to date

Andrew is going to North West Tanzania in September for a few weeks with the UK charity bridge2aid as part of their Dental Volunteer Programme to help train Rural Clinical Officers in Emergency Dentistry in a part of the world where there is no access to safe dental care and people still die after being overcome by infection from dental abscesses.

“Eat coconuts while you still have teeth”

Sinhalese proverb

Reopening of the Dental PracticeThe Dental Practice has reopened and we are now seeing patients on an appointment-only basis.

There are still restrictions placed on dentistry in Scotland in relation to all treatment we provide and how we can deliver care. As such, we have fewer appointments available each day.

Emergency and urgent dental need will be prioritised as far as is possible.

Please make enquiries to the reception on 0141 423 2580 or email

Thank you for your patience during this challenging time.
